Shelter pups on track, A Santa Barbara County Animal Shelter initiative
August 10, 2016 12:32
Santa Barbara County Animal Shelter informed that a high school cross-country running team showed a different approach to their usual workout by pairing up with shelter dogs. They took the shelter dogs, some of which had never been out on a run before, out into the fresh air, on Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2016.
The excitement was infectious on Thursday as the pups at Santa Barbara County Animal Shelter were prepared for the run with the group from St. Joseph High School.
Luis Escobar, who posted the video to Facebook, wrote, "I am not sure who was more excited and having the most fun...the dogs or the kids,". The video had more than 100,000 views and was liked more than 3,000 times.
Some pups of course weren’t used to all the energy, and needed a little help.
