Jim Parsons, who portrays one of the most famous characters in the television, Sheldon Cooper a geeky rocket scientist oops the ‘astrophysicist’  on “Big Bang Theory”, tied the know with his longtime boyfriend on Saturday.

The 44-year-old actor and his longtime partner Todd Spiewak, who is a graphic designer dated for 14 years before marrying at the Rainbow Room in New York City.

Parsons came out as a gay in 2012 and later revealed in the Ellen DeGeneres show that he was happy there was not a lot of “hoopla” around the New York Times profile of the actor that announced his relationship with Spiewak.

Last year, the couple celebrated 14 years of togetherness wrote on Instagram: “I met this guy... 14 years ago today and it was the best thing that ever happened to me, no contest. One of his greatest gifts to me is that he no longer takes me to sing karaoke. Also, I believe this was a selfie with an actual camera, as our phones couldn’t do that back then hahaha!”

Parsons has called his husband “the best thing that has ever happened to me, no contest.”

Parson’s “Big Bang Theory” co-stars Kaley Cuoco and Mayim Bialik both attended the wedding.

“Jim and Todd have said ‘I do’,” Kaley wrote on a photo on Instagram. “The happiness is overflowing!! Congratulations, @therealjimparsons and Todd Spiewak! May you have a lifetime of eternal happiness!”
