The BMW Group with an intent to evolve clean solutions for forthcoming urban transportation has proclaimed a partnership with a non-profit, Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator (LACI).

"The BMW Group is a leader in the field of premium mobility, with more than a quarter of a million electrified BMW Group vehicles on the world’s roads and a range of connected and mobility services," said Simon Euringer, Head of the BMW Group Technology Office United States of America.

"The Incubator is an ideal partner for us as LACI pursues the same goals as the BMW Group and also has innovative visions and strategies," he added.

The intention of a partnership is to bring together primal partners to intensify transportation electrification and zero-emissions goods movement ahead of the Los Angeles Summer Olympic Games in 2028.

"Given BMW is a driving force in urban mobility, we look forward to working together to establish the Zero Emissions 2028 Road Map, pilot new mobility innovations, and identify opportunities for start-up while fighting climate change, reducing air pollution and improving quality of life in our cities," explained Matt Petersen, LACI president and Chief Executive Officer.

The practice between LACI and the BMW will be negotiated locally from the BMW Group Technology Office USA in California.
