The much awaited Russian film festival Russian Spring is all set to kick off today. This film festival is predominantly aimed at introducing Russian cinema to the global audience. A range of films starting from features to documentaries are going to be screened at Russian Spring. 

This film festival is going to last till April 20. Speaking about the significance and contribution of Russian cinema to the world cinema, the organizers of Russian Spring have said that Russian cinema has inspired even the American film makers. 

After screening the selected movies at the film festival, the organizers said, the movies would tour the rural areas. These movies would be screened at 7eme theater.
