Akkineni’s young and handsome lad Akhil made his debut last year with Akhil. He almost took a year to sign his next film which will be launched soon. Akhil is in love with Hyderabad based desginer Shriya Bhupal who happened to be the granddaughter of GVK Reddy. The duo got the permission of their parents after which the engagement date has been locked. The event has been planned to be completely restricted to family and is said to be private.

Akhil got engaged to Shriya Bhupal last night and the event has been said to be grand. Akhil and Shriya sizzled in white  attire and Nagarjuna, Amala, Naga Chaitanya, Samantha made the event lavish. Akhil has been spotted bonding with Shriya throughout the event. Several celebrities along with family members made it for the event. Akhil is said to start his second film in the direction of Vikram Kumar from January 2017.
