Two boys aged 13 and 16 years were hit by gunfire through a bedroom window in Azusa late on Wednesday.

The mishap took place when both were inside a home on the 500 block of East Duell Street, as per the statement of Azusa Police Department.

While two were struck by gun shots, the third one escaped the firing but was hurt by flying glass during the shooting. All three are admitted in USC Medical Center and their condition is not yet known.

According to the investigators, the shooter fired several rounds when some of the shots sneaked into the bedroom through the window.

Investigators are yet to find if it was gang related. Police say the victims have not been cooperating with detectives, treating the shoot as an attempted murder.
