Two articles of impeachment against the President Trump has been delivered by the House of Representatives to the Senate on Wednesday. It has set the stage for a trial for determining whether the removal of the president should be done for the third time in the history of the US.

The two articles of impeachment have been signed by the House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. The two articles were for the abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.

The seven House impeachment managers were introduced during the early hours of the day by Pelosi. The case against the president will be presented by the seven House impeachment managers in the Senate.

Trump has been impeached in December for a scheme in which Ukraine has been pressurized to announce false investigations of Joe Biden, the former vice-president and then fought an inquiry into the scheme which lead to the impeachment for abuse of power and for obstruction of Congress.

The articles have been finalized in a ceremony by Pelosi in the early evening, on the House side of the Capitol. The articles have then been walked across the Capitol to the Senate chamber by the managers and the House clerk, where the assembly senators have been delivered a message by the clerk.

Mitch McConnell, the Senate Majority Leader has acknowledged the receipt of the message and said the senators would convene on Thursday for hearing the formal presentation of the articles and to swear in the chief justice of the Supreme court who will be presiding over the trial.
