“I know you aren’t happy that India won today,” says Dhoni

“I know you aren’t happy that India won today,” said Dhoni at the press conference following the a nerve-wracking victory of India against Bangladesh in a group match on 23 March 2016 in the ICC World T20 tournament.

Dhoni guided India to a victory in the last ball as he ticked the wickets to dismiss Mustafizur Rahman, ending the match with one-run victory over Bangladesh. He walked with a smile into the press conference after the match but became furious soon after a question came, asking him if he was satisfied with the one-run win over Bangladesh in WT20 match.

The skipper cut the reporter who tried to clarify and added that, “Listen to me. Hearing you, your tone and your question, it’s clear that you aren’t happy that India has won. And when talking about a cricket match, there’s no script. It’s not about the script.”

He further said, “You have to analyse that after losing the toss, what was the reason that we couldn’t make many runs on that wicket. If you aren’t analysing these things sitting outside, then you shouldn’t ask this question.”

After a long pause at the press conference hall, the mike was passed on.
