Australian based comedian Nazeem Hussain, who is popular for participating in “I’m a Comedian, Get Me Out of Here!” has revealed the troubles he faced getting past the U.S. customs officials at airports in the Untied States, by saying that he is often questioned for hours because of his name.
After landing at Los Angeles on Wednesday, Hussain said that he was guided to a room and was asked crap load of questions. He said that he was also asked regarding his thoughts on Donald Trump’s presidency.
Hussain even had to log into Netflix and show the officials, footage of him performing to prove he was actually a comedian.
'They were not even laughing at the funny bits,' he joked to 104.9 Triple M's Merrickville.
He said that on two occasions he has been questioned for four hours at Los Angeles airport.
Hussain was allowed to leave after an hour of interrogations on Wednesday. He also revealed that he received similar treatment on checking for the flight at Melbourne airport as he had a Secondary Security Screening Selection on his boarding pass.
'You're going to have to wait until the whole plane load of people board before you and then we'll let you on after we frisk you,' Hussain said he was told.
'They asked me all sorts of questions: What are my intentions for going to the US? Why am I travelling alone?'
Before Hussain left Australia, he shared a selfie on his Instagram with a photo of President Donald Trump covered in hearts.
'As I depart for the US, I just want it to be known that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Donald Trump,' he captioned the image.
'I'm so delighted to be entering his America, and I trust everyone at LA customs loves me as much as I love Donald'.
He added that he was allowed to enter Los Angeles after showing a clip from his Netflix talk-show series Bill Nye Saves The World to the airport officials.
